Power Leveling is most frequently used in multiplayer games, where it usually refers to a player that is of much greater power assisting a player of much lower power in defeating enemies that are far too powerful for the low level player, but are easily and quickly killed by the more powerful player. Defeating high level challenges rewards the lower level player with experience points more rapidly than normal.

In World of Warcraft Powerleveling or Power Leveling has become so popular for players looking to quickly advance through the lower and not very exciting levels of the game that a number of profession gaming companies have set up powerleveling or power leveling services.

Power Leveling service companies, for a fee will help you enhance your World of Warcraft character. They log into your account and play your character either for a certain amount of time or until a certain level or objective is achieved. While you character is being leveled you are required not to login to your account. Most offer the following power leveling (powerleveling) services:

* Customized Packages, you specific what type of character development you are looking for and work with the company to create a package. Usually more expense then pre-defined options.
* Part Time development, this is done over a set number of hours - 6,12,24,36, or 48. A professional gamer players your character for this set amount of time.
* Specific development from one level to a higher level. e.g. From level 20 up to 40. You pay a set amount of money for this service and it is done over time, usually with a guaranteed maximum time limited to archive the desired level.
* Professions development, from Mining to Blacksmithing.
* Increase your Honor Kills for PvP & PvE servers.
* Complete Quest
* Get your character gear
* Get Keys
* Build your characters reputation

DO’s & DON’Ts When Buying World of Warcraft Power Leveling Services

When looking for a World of Warcraft power leveling (powerleveling) service make sure they DO NOT have your character do any of the following: employed in Player-Killing, Kill-Stealing, hoarding of farming locations, or any other despicable in-game behavior.

DO make sure they following this: No macros, dupes, game bug exploits, and other such fraudulent methods will never be used. In short, your character will be leveled the safest way possible: by going through the grind.

Although it’s not 100% certain as of yet, Bungie may not be creating another new Halo title after they finish their work on Halo 3: Recon.

James Brightman at GameDaily.com reports

Speaking to GI.biz, Bungie PR director Brian Jarrard revealed that after the studio is done with the recently announced expansion Halo 3: Recon, the team will be starting work on other projects and may not revisit Halo. When asked if the Recon team would continue work on the Halo trilogy, Jarrard responded, “I don’t think so. We’ve already put a couple of map packs out, we do have more maps on the way. We actually have a Mythic map pack coming out early next year. We don’t have firm details or a date yet, but we do have one more map pack coming out, and then we do have some maps associated with the actual Recon retail release.”

He continued, “But I think when this project wraps up in a couple of months that will be the time when that team moves on to something else - part of that team will move on to something else and part of them will probably be absorbed into one of the other projects that are already on the way.” [Bungie is currently working on three separate projects.]

The Halo franchise has been a huge success for Microsoft and it seems crazy that they’d allow the plug to be pulled on one of their best titles, especially considering the mass amount of gamers out there who anticipate any new release in the series.

Last year’s Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare was more that just a great game. It took a series that made a name for itself under the rich tapestry of World War II and pushed it some 60 years into the future. The end result was a game that used the latest advances in weaponry, in a setting influenced by some of today’s most tense conflicts, to produce an experience both stirring and refreshing. Since then, the big question on everyone’s mind has been this: What will they do with the fifth Call of Duty? The answer, we know now, is a return to World War II. But rather than a step backward, Call of Duty: World at War is shaping up to be a unique take on this familiar timeline. With part of the campaign set in the often-overlooked Pacific theatre and plenty of inspiration drawn from Modern Warfare–both technical and creative–developer Treyarch is aiming to prove there’s still life left in the World War II shooter.

…

The most immediately apparent of the inspirations drawn from Modern Warfare is the mature, at times brutal form of storytelling. World at War begins with your character tied up in a hut on the beach of the Makin Atoll. A Japanese officer stands in front of you, demanding information from a fellow marine. An uncooperative spit to the face later, the officer puts his lit cigarette out on the face of this bound soldier and uses a knife to put a particularly bloody end to his suffering. But before you meet with a similar fate, backup arrives and you stage your escape. Pistol in hand, you’re ready to begin World at War’s first level.
